Welcome to the first post in my ongoing blog full of original content from a multitude of Kenjutsu instructors from around the world.
In this first post I am going to try and put an answer to the question in the title – Why KenjutsuWorld.com?
In my search to learn more of the history and traditions around Kenjutsu, I noticed that there really is not a centralized website devoted to that art. There are numerous different Budo schools around the world that have portions of their websites devoted to the art. And you have the Nihon Kobudo Shinkokai, and the Nihon Kobudo Kyokai organizations in Japan, but their webpages are either in Japanese or very hard to find.
So given this information combined with my entrepreneurial leanings, I thought that there really should be a website devoted to Kenjutsu. So I started looking up available domain names, and KenjutsuWorld.com seemed to be a good fit.
I have trained extensively in Kenjutsu, and have taught workshops on the subject, and have a passion for the art, but I do not claim to know all there is to know about it. This is part of the reason for this blog. I would like to make contact with other instructors around the world that would be willing to share their knowledge on the subject, this is how I plan on continuing to post original content for you. So if you are and instructor or know of one please contact us.
And if you would like your dojo listed on this page please send us a website and address and we will do our best to get it listed.
Thank you and hope you enjoy the site if you do please share and subscribe.
